Retail Store Books Cleanup

Retail Store Books CleanupHow to move through the pages

The standard we aim at, the date of this note, and the phone if a page blocks you.

Back to the start.
Three lines of text standing in for the way a page should read without the picture.

The aim

We build these pages to WCAG 2.1 level AA. Text is at least 18 pixels. Contrast of body text against the white ground is above 4.5 to 1. Every control shows a focus ring. The phone menu is a native disclosure, so it works with a keyboard and with a screen reader without a script.

Pictures that carry meaning have a text alternative. Decorative marks are hidden from assistive technology. The first control on each page is a skip link to the content. Headings sit in order. The chat launcher is labelled Ask Steven and sits at the lower left so it does not cover the form at rest.

If a page blocks you, call +1 844-324-7273 and say which page. This note is dated 24 October 2026.

Photographs show a stockroom, a shop floor, a clothing rail, and an empty shop after hours. Drawings show a receipt, a calendar, a cost sheet, and a bank page. The text alternative says which is which. No words are required to understand the phone number, which is also written in the footer.

The home clip plays with the sound off and it loops. A still from the second frame sits under the clip, so the three labels and the one figure are readable if the video never starts. The page picks a tall, a square, or a wide file from the width of the window. The sentence under the headline already names the register, the shelves and the books, so a reader who never plays the clip still meets the same subject.

Folded blocks on the home page are ordinary disclosures. The heading is the summary. Opening one leaves the form where it was. The six trouble cards start closed. Each card shows Click to open on a wide screen and Tap to open on a phone, and both phrases name the same control.

The calendar frame on the booking page has no address until you use the button above it, or until you have scrolled and the frame is actually in view. A keyboard reaches that button before the frame. Form fields have visible labels. A required miss stays next to the field that missed. The first control on every page is the skip link to the content.

Links in the running text are underlined and they name the page they open. The menu at the top folds into one disclosure on a narrow window, and the same links stay in the footer. Focus is a visible ring, not a colour change alone. We do not rely on colour to tell a deadline from a close date. The words do that.

If motion, a folded card, or the chat launcher gets in the way, the phone in the footer is enough. Say the page address and what the control did. We change the page. This note covers the store pages on this domain and no other site.
